Inventor Membership

Inventor membership is open to anyone living or working in the metropolitan district of Kirklees who is interested in inventing, developing and marketing new products and services who agrees to abide by the terms of membership.

So far, the only terms are that inventors will share experience and advice and generally help each other as best they can and that they will abide by the terms upon which they are admitted to talks, clinics, workshops and other events (particularly any duty of confidence). As we get bigger and gain more experience we will doubtless need more rules, but members will be consulted on those well in advance.

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December. For the year ended 31 December 2006 there will be no subscriptions. Again, that will probably have to change as we take on more responsibilities but, if we do have to charge, the rate will be no higher than the amount necessary to cover our costs, it will be good value for money and there will be concessions for students, seniors, job seekers and others on low incomes.
